Flush Mount Taillights

Today I flush mounted my tailights, I'll post pics if anyone wants em, but my question is how have others fabbed up license plate lights. I was thinking maybe LEDs in the plastic holder for the plate or something like that. As far as the lights go, I love them flushed to the tub.

An option might be those license plate bolts that have leds in them. (Street rod stuff.)
Did you add side markers?

I have a set of street glow light bolts that I'm going to hopefully install soon.

Let's see the pictures!

The people that make the Lite Dots has some sort of LED setup for your plate that seems to be better than the lite n bolts.

ive seen them mounted to the spare and that looks really cool! you get to ditch that plastic frame for the plate!

Post pics! Im about to do this (if my order ever gets shipped.)

MAN thats awesome! I didnt know it was a third brake light also.

do you have to buy the mounting bracket separate? Also does this work with the stock setup??? It looks like it plugs into the hole in the spare, but what does that plug into?
If I were to get this, could I ditch the stock 3rd brake light?

It is the mounting bracket. The long piece at the bottom bolts into the two top licencse plate screws. I plan on wiring it custom to my running lights on the driver side to make it easy. I'm not too sure about using it as a third brake light, because I plan on leaving the plate in the stock location, so I won't be wiring it as a third brake light. Mine will be bolted to the plastic holder that comes with the Jeep.

Couple photos of my flush mount LED's. I put in a single back-up light, removed my third brake light and connected it through it's wiring. You'r right about the Boltz lites they give off minimal light and look kind of cheesy when lit.

If you look close you'll see that Bluesman (the Red Jeep) has removed his plastic plate holder and just bent the plate around the corner of the Jeep. Dogman has recently done this and now it's growing on me so I'll probably do it also! Either way, it's a good alternative to alternative mounting (pun intended). You could then get the LED bracket menioned earlier for this setup and I bet it would look good! I'm not sure if Bluesman did this (dogman did) but I recommended to put a small strip of foam tape behind the plate around the corner to keep it from rubbing the paint off right there when the wind blows it around while driving.

A little late, but here are the pics of my setup. I'm still waiting for the licensce plate light. Not sure if I like it better with or without the tire because of the flush lights. Being that it's a Jeep I don't have to decide, I can do either or both.
