Do you remember what part# the rear lights are? I have been thinking about a couple of them on my rig.

I was thinking of getting some of those too. My friend put some on his truck. I want to be able to hook it into my fog-light switch so that it can be used for reverse and just to turn on if need be, how would I accomplish that?

Well with this kit, you tap into the reverse lights wire...so whenever you put it in R they light up.
What I would do if you want the ability to turn them on at will is to put a tap AFTER (closer to the lights) the reverse light tap in to your fog lamp system. Or you could use another switch purely for the reverse lamps and tap into the same place...AFTER the place in the wire where you tap into the OEM reverse lamps. I didn't see any need to make a switch, If I need them on with the Jeep not moving I just turn the key on (without starting it) and put it in R...works like a charm ![]() KnightFire

Those lights would be broken within a week in my Jeep. Is there any protection for them being there under the rear bumper?

Same here...I've been bashing the heck outta my gas tank lately...at least once or twice really hard everytime I go out...I hate the stock one.
Those lights would be rubble on the trail and I'd never know until I stopped at the end. Must convince the fiancee the Kilby skid is a needed mod...must convince...must convince....must...must... hehe ![]() Cheers!

I have the same problem. I want to put in flush mounted, round lights in the back, but didn't know what to do about reverse lights. I've seen someone who installed them *in* his rear bumper, but I can't imagine hacking into the bumper I have...it's so thick.

Yah, if I did major rock crawling/off roading this would be a no-no bolt on...as RedheadJeepin'Girl pointed out I could easily flush mount them in the OEM bumper, it wouldnt be that hard to cut out a 2x6" slot with a cutting wheel.
The most action I'll probably see for quite a while is up and down pot holed roads/maybe some mudding. With working 2 jobs, rock climbing, martial arts, active duty AF and most importantly getting my Formula into the low 11's, (hehee) there just is not a whole lot of time for off roading adventures, LOL .Who knows maybe I'll get offered a sweet job, get out of the AF and be able to cut down on these 70hr work weeks .I want OUT! Tks for the compliments everyone... ![]() KnightFire
