A few pix of our 1st offroad trip

Hi guys...

2k2 Jeep TJ Apex Special Ediion, my fiancee and yours truely in the Okanagan Valley, BC, Canada over the weekend. Thouroughly amazed at what this vehicle can do, and wanting more and more now!!

Jeep is stock...only added tow-hooks so far. We were alone...but we had cell phones, and weren't all that far from help if we needed it, but next time we'll go in a group. Most pix are not 'action' shots because during the crazy stuff I was driving and she was hanging on. Only heard one loud bang the whole time...and nothing was damaged. *phew* hehe

Cheers!

HEY! Cool pix. It looks like you were a little south-east of the town, up near the Skaha bluffs. Do you remember how you got there, I guess that's one trail I haven't tried yet (amazing considering I actually live here). I hope that you didn't take the Coquihalla back, much more boring that hwy 3!

Ya man...I totally remeber. Hard to forget actually...

Go up Pineview Road, then turn right at the top on Evergreen where they're building some new houses...at the end of that road (200yards) there's a dirt road that leads to the left...as soon as you turn left and get off the pavement, look to your right...there's a trail that goes straight up. Be careful about 100yards in tho...big drop to your left...like 300' or more if you're not careful. The trail follows the gas pipelines...and we must have gone in about 5-10kms or more...get ready for some scratches though.

A few of those pix were at the Highway #1 and 97c (I think) at Merritt just above the highway pitstop. Nice area too...trails go for a Hell of a long way in the bush as well.

Not sure to make it to the Jeep Jamboree though. Mods are gonna cost too much this time around before I enter, plus it's my fiancee's b-day soon...that is slightly more important then a $1000 spent on Mods, only to spend another $1000 for the Jamboree and the hotels in Penticton, imho. Next year I'll join for sure.

I used to live in Penticton near Skaha Beach. Loved the town, but left afer 9 months 'cause there was no work for me...loved the area though. Too bad...

Moviong back to Montreal in 2yrs...I hope there are trails out there as well...otherwise I may hafta kill something!!

Have fun!
Cheers!

Cool, I'll have to check it out sometime, unfortunately, I don't get enough time to offroad with all the other things there are to keep me occupied here!

The most ambitious I've been lately was to drive over Carmi to Beaverdell. Not too keen on overextending (or making major repairs to) my stock primary source of transportation!
