As a continuous work in progress this jeep started life as a bone stock grandpa hauler. The mods began the day after I bought it and haven't stopped since. My purchace of this jeep spawned the birt birth of an off road demon that had been itching to escape for years. I drive this jeep to work every day as well as haul the groceries on the weekend. I can clean it up for a night on the town or get down and dirty in the mud and rocks at play time.

I acquired this jeep about 1.5 yrs ago and I blame it all on my old part time YJ.
I was always into volkswagens, power to weight ratios, engineered suspension componenents, high horsepower 1.8l turbo motors, you name it as long as it was a VW.
I have had 6 vw’s untill one day I decided to buy a summer toy for the beach. A 1988 Wrangler islander which was great, so great infact I stopped driving my brand new custom Jetta, sold it and the YJ and went and got this TJ.

The most off roading this rig sees at the moment is on beach driving here in RI and in Cape Cod, I do dabble in some light trails in the area though but top down cruising to the beach is the main priority.

5” pro comp fog lamps with hella yellowstar bulbs
Olympic spare tire basket
Harbor frieght 4” hitch basket

Mods:4" RE lift, 33" GY duratracs, steel front and rear bumpers with tire carrier on rear, d30 aussie locker, SYE, KC lights on windshield, alpine headunit, all speakers replaced with Kickers, dynomax muffler, poweraid throttle body spacer.

Story: This is my third jeep, Had a KJ, sold it to buy my YJ and in early October of 2011 I was run off the road causing me to roll the YJ which totaled it. Knowing I couldn't live live without a Jeep, I immediately went and bought the TJ a couple weeks later. After the accident I wanted airbags, which is probably the only reason I bought a TJ. Since I got the TJ I have grown to love it and am glad I got it. From here it can only get better!

Prior to owning this ’99 TJ Sport, I have owned a ’78 Bronco and a ’98 XJ, both of which were slightly modified.

I purchased this Jeep in September of 2007, with the modifications that the previous owner had done.

Those mods are:

• Edge Trailjammer chip and throttle body
• Flexilite Black Magic electric fan (gone)
• Header and Magnaflow exhaust
• Teraflex 4” SA lift, 1” body lift, ¾” pucks, T-case drop (all gone)
• 33” BFG MT (gone), AWC stone crusher wheels
• Poison Spyder trail corners, LED tail lights
• Fabtech front bumper
• Re-geared to 4:11
• Lunch box locked D35 (gone)

As with any Jeep, you can’t really leave it alone, so I did a few modifications of my own.

Starting with:

• Warn rear bumper with a tire carrier (sold), replaced with Savvy rear bumper
• Poison Spyder Rocker Knockers and Trail Cage
• 2001 TJ rear D44 with ARB air locker and Alloy USA 35 spline axles
• 2005 front Rubicon D44, Superior Evolution axles, Yellowstuff pads
• Warn xd9000i winch
• Cowl induction/snorkel with a K&N Apollo air filter
• Cobra CB with a Firestick Antenna
• AA SYE and Tom Woods Drive Shaft
• Currie steering
• 35/12.5/15 Goodyear MT/R with Kevlar
• Currie 4” suspension, Front Anti-Rock
• Rancho XL9000 Shocks, rear shocks out-boarded
• Rotated rear spring perches
• MCE Gen II Flat Fenders
• Savvy GTS
• Savvy UA in process

As far as future mods:

• Full cage tied to the frame
• More Aluminum body armor

Story (optional):I owned a 1992 Wrangler 4.0 H.O. for 10 years but was
forced to sell after a back injury. I've missed it ever since and late
last year began looking for a TJ with the 4.0 I could build up. After a
seller sold his base model Rubicon from under me after putting down a
deposit I got super lucky and found my current Rubicon that same evening.
It's one of those "barn finds" 2004 Rubicon with Roadmaster kit including
the brakemaster for RV towing, Rubicon Express 3.5" short arm, sway bar
disconnects, upgraded driveshaft, yoke, many skid plates, side rock slider
with removable step, rear bumper,Garvin Wildnerness roof rack, 33" Pro
Comp Xterrain on 15" AR wheels, neoprene seat covers, cobra cb with
firestick, kill switch, Ramsey Patriot 9500 winch. There are other
upgrades he put on it I'm sure I'm missing. The woman selling the Jeep has
had it sitting in her barn/shop for the last 1.5 years since her husband
passed away. It only had 13,250 miles when I bought it and promised her
I'd take care of his baby so I named the Jeep "Pritchard" after their last
name. Needless to say I'm thankful the first ***hole sold his from under
me! I'd have far more into that then what I was able to buy "Pritchard"
for!
