factory fog light wiring

I have a 2005 TJ and have a problem with the fog lights intermittently working. The light switch is located in the turn signal lever. I've noticed when I use my fog lights for an extended period of time, the next day they won't work. I also noticed the fog light indicator on the instrument cluster is not light when the problem occurs. Usually by the next day or two everything works fine.
I replaced the factory fog lights with led fog lights and still have the same problem.
If it comes down to the problem being the switch I would rather replace it by using a fog light switch mounted on the dash that looks OEM but I would still like the fog light symbol on the instrument cluster to work.

Could be the multifunction switch. I've read about a lot of problems with them. Don't get the OEM one but go to Autozone and get an aftermarket one. I think it's Durolast or something. If you want to use a different switch and still have the indicator it will require figuring what circuit going to the EMIC triggers that and what it needs to do so.
