Everyone needs to witness my pain

Yeah this sucked, Ball Balancer went Ka-boom, vibration cracked TC. On my birthday, and I got fired the next day, Lame. I'm gonna go write a country song.

And my reaction, notice the hanging driveshaft

And the tow home, Gay

Naw this happened last month, I just now got some pictures online. I had it going again in three days, the same night I found a TC for cheap on ebay 3 days later it was at my door, and on my jeep. Now I'm waiting for a starter.

And how do you figure that manual hubs would have helped with this particular problem ??

When your manual hubs up front are unlocked...nothing in the front drivetrain (axles, driveshaft ect...) EXCEPT the tires, wheels and hubs rotate...if the tires came out of balance (if thats what a ball balancer is??), then the only thing that would have been bother would be the driver dealing with the vibration, because none the of drivetrain components in the front are even turning

No, you're missing the point (and I do know what manual hubs are and how they work, as I run them).
Back to the original.
The tire(s) didn't come out of balance. The CV centering ball on the front driveshaft dried out (thus the angry sparrows sound) causing vibs and eventually causing eveything to break. Even with manula hubs that would have eventually happened and he still would be in the same boat as he was, as, from a post on another board, he went out 4 wheeling knowing something was wrong.
