Engine cuts out

I have 57,000 miles on my 99 TJ 4.0 L. When wheeling in Moab and for the first time had a problem with my TJ. After the engine has been running for a while, very warmed up, but not overheating, running normally the engine just cuts off. It won't start until I sit and let everything cool down. I'm not getting spark. I going to re-check tomorrow, I'll check the fuel pressure and see if I can get spark, but I'll have to run it a while. anyone have any Ideas, some mentioned the ignition module, but a 99 has no such part. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
Peter

Sounds like the ignition coil to me. Same thing happens on Dakota/Durango/Ram 3.9/5.2/5.9 engines.

You're thinking of coil-packs which a 99 doesn't have. You DO have an ignition coil though. Look at your distributor, find the wire in dead center. Follow it to the other end. Bam- that's your ignition coil.

Check your coil wire, mine was burned nearly into, and started hesitating after it warmed up. I found it after replacing my fuel pump. Fouled the plugs and while changing them found the broken coil wire. It looked like it had been shorting out for quite some time.

I have a coil and crank Postion sensor coming, I'm also getting the ASD relay and just keep it in the jeep. The mechanics at the dealership are thinking CPS on the 99's it seems to be a problem.
Thanks for the input, the wheelen in Moab was great last week. Gdetting towed back home wasn't that much fun though.
