electrical issues with lifted TJ
I recently put a 2" suspension lift and 1.25" body lift on my 03 TJ. I am now experiencing some kind of electrical problem. When I first start the Jeep it barely starts and then will not idle on its own without me giving it gas. Although, sometimes it will work perfectly. It is acting like it is under a heavy load. I had Autozone check the battery and alternator. Both are good. Could it be a ground wire? Are there any grounds that need extended during a body lift? If not that there must be a short somewhere. Maybe in the starter? The Jeep was running flawlessly before the lift. Anyone run into anything like this?
sounds like you may have unplugged a sensor or disturbed a ground strap. maybe the crank position sensor on the bellhousing or the ground strap from engine to firewall. or maybe one of the plugs right to the computer on the firewall. also check your fuel lines for disruption, this may be another problem.
