Electric swaybar disconnects
Has anyone seen any write ups on installing electric swaybar disconnects like the new Dodge Powerwagon has into a wrangler. I thought AEV had done this mod but can't seem to find any info on it. I even emailed them about it with no response. If any vehicle should be so equipt it should be a Jeep. Is the part available throught Chrysler yet.

The only thing close is the OffRoadOnly SwayLoc.
It's a dual-rate air-pressure controlled Swaybar. You can choose between stiff for on-road (like stock) and soft for off-road (like an AntiRock) at the touch of a button, giving you the best of both worlds and no grease or dirt on your hands ![]() |

If you carry some basic equipment to repair air-lines or whatever you could even rig it up to be powered by your spare tire. ORO is a company that makes a complete air-bag suspension system which has had excellent reliability to date. I have no hesitation running their equipment and the only thing holding me back is the price and other stuff the Jeep really needs (trackbar, tires etc...) |

![]() Is the Rubi compressor powerful enough to activate the SwayLoc system? I'm not sure on that one... |

I don't believe so. The Rubi lockers only requires something like 7-8psi IIRC.

Yeah I'm not sure what SwayLoc needs. Apparently it can be done from the spare tire which at most would be 33 psi... so maybe it will run on less.
It's possible but I have no clue to be honest. |

from what I was reading they need about 70 psi but they said the can operate at less. The rubicon compressors are low pressure, 6-8 psi. They had the swayloc system listed at $600 at their site. I think I read there was a manually activated system that uses a hand pin instead of air pin.

It's also possible to get the "manual" switch operated one and later make it AiRock integrated, which is the course I plan to follow, as with our weather and my larger bumper I don't like messing around with those disconnects at all... Anyway sounds like the Rubi compressor is out, but if you have ARB lockers, the ARB compressor should easily be up to the task. Or you could just have a pressurised tank filled the same way as your tires. |

seems like you could figure out a way to modify the swaylock air selenoid to an electric one if you had to have it electric.
