ECM low emissions/std emissions difference?

Hey guys i'm planning a little project out. I'm looking for an ECM from a TJ 4.0 with manual transmission. When looking em up on car-parts.com it differentiates between , low emissions and std emissions (fed) for the same computer. What's the difference between the two?

Yeah, that would make sense actually. I'm just curious which one I would rather have drive-ability wise (not tree hugger wise). Am I right to assume low emissions would cut back on performance (whatever performance a 4.0 actually has) so I should go with the std?

actually you probably wouldn't notice a bit of difference....unless the low emissions version is looking for O2 sensors you don't have. IIRC, some models have a California emissions package that has more O2 sensors. but just because you're in CT doesn't mean you don't have CA emissions...depends how the original dealer ordered the vehicle.

Great, thanks for the heads up. I'm not even using it for a TJ so there's no way to know how it'll pan out with the o2 sensors but i'll throw it in there and see what happens.
