EBC yellow stuff brake pads/ centric prem rotors

Well I finally got around to installing my new EBC yellowstuff pads and centric prem rotors and WOW what a difference! I also did the rear drums with centric replacements, the old ones were shot to hell. My old pads and rotors were done at the dealer with OEM replacements and the pads still had another 50% to go. After the lift and larger tires I never felt 100% confidence in my braking ability. This seems to have helped tremendously and she stops faster than she did on the stock 30"s. It is however still not a vanco kit!

Why did you choose Yellow? Green are the correct application for jeep/suv/truck (and they are awesome!) Just curious, not arguing with your choice.

I have greenstuff but after mrblaines testing I wish I had the yellowstuff pads. I am happy with my greens though but the yellows are even better

My decision was based on exactly that...mrblaines testing and recommendations...I heard the greens were great but the yellows were said to be even better. It seems that most people who have the greens love them but would have liked to try the yellows. I went right for the yellows and could only be happier if I had vancos on a dana 44!!!

Because of the testing by mrblaine as mentioned above, his results show the Yellow is, by far, the best braking pad he's found for the TJ. I can't wait for my ceramic pads to wear out so I can justify installing EBC's Yellow pads.

Thats a decent price, I paid about that, $110.00 for the pads and $96 for the rotors, plus shipping.

It's comforting to be able to stop again!

No more than you have in that set of pads Jerry, it sure won't hurt anyone's feelings if you toss them. You don't need to wait for them to wear out.

When I had you test them for Van, it was not with any stipulation that you needed to keep them until they wore plum out.

The EBC yellowstuff pads are part #EBCDP41255R, double check to be sure.
Centric Premium rotors #12067045.

Search around, you can find all sorts of different prices I've seen the pads go as high as $139.

Got it.
Last I remember seeing, MrB was recommending Greens.
That's a lotta cash for those Yellows!

Well as you know just because its more expensive doesn't always work out to be better, but in this case I wanted to be able to stop. I wasn't putting my faith in the brand x pads from autozone for $34.95, not with all the money I've put in the jeep. The pads were expensive but after reading mrblaines recommendation to run this setup to improve the stock braking ability i was willing to give it a try. So far I've noticed a considerable improvement (500 miles in). My old pads on the front discs were far from shot, but after a few close calls I had to do something to restore my faith in the jeeps ability to stop faster and more reliably.

I ran yellow pads with the upgraded rotors when I had 33's and it was awesome. Dramatic braking improvement.
