Brand-new shiny rotors on a new brake system are always so exciting to see.

That particular pair of rotors retails for almost 500 bucks in the aftermarket for non OEM. I don't think any sets will be sent out for testing.

In fact I'm almost certain that retail is considerably more when you factor in that set is OEM and made in Germany.

Just in case Van was interested, can you post of a pic of your 17" rims that it takes to clear those?

Yeah, but did you notice how I got the pads squared up relative to the swept area? Nicely centered.

I bet this is even more exciting. Maybe we'll see it on normal cars in the next 30 years, haha.

Jerry, thanks for your comments: I totally agree with one thing that you wrote: I not gonna win.
Apparently, not only is mrblaine is entitled to his opinion, but I am entitled to his opinion as well
End of discussion for me on this topic.
Thanks again.

Nice Job Patrick. I have another set of pics up for you in a day or two. We'll find out how good you really are.

I'll drill out the rivets to remove the dust shields, paint them both the same color and take off the stainless steel abutment clips and pull the e-brake shoes.

Not good, just lucky. I have the TJ one, and the top one doesn't look anything like the one in my ZJ. That and a few clues you have given over the years. Change the colors and I'd be clueless.

That Mercedes rotor has some weird markings, did you try out a larger caliper on it?

That is some way cool technology. Plus it's just very nice looking.

Nope, you are very entitled to your opinion. I just want others that may not be in the same climate as you to know that if they are considering PF pads, there are better options based on facts, not opinions. That's all.

Hasn't been driven yet. That should happen tomorrow when the owner finishes up the steering.

The markings are from cleaning the anti-corrosion coating off with Simple Green.
