Driveline Vibes??
I just got my 2" 4wd hardware kit installed and I am now having what I am pretty sure are driveline vibes. They start at about 35 mph and kinda feels like they continue as long as im accelerating. I will be throwing in some washers tomorow morning to see if this cures the vibes. I was wondering if I am going to have to buy longer bolts for about a 1/2" t-case drop. I was also wondering if there could be any other culpret in causing the vibes.
TIA

yes, doing a 1/2" t-case drop is most liekly going to require new, longer bolts. use loctite (blue) on the bolts when re-installing them.
driveline angles after the lift are the most likely source of your vibes since they started after doing the lift.

I am having a similar situation. Put a 2 1/4" BB (4 wheel customs) in the wife's '00 today. Getting some very minor vibes between 35 and 40. You have to really pay attention to feel them.
Since hers is a street jeep and the lift is just for looks, I went to drop the t-case skid with washers and found that I cannot break even 1 of the 6 skid mounting bolts free. I'll be spraying some PB blaster on there for a few days to see if this frees them up at all. Q- *Is it o.k. to drive for a bit while PB is being used to free them up? *Any other tricks to freeing them up that may help me out? *Is an impact a bad idea with those damn press-in-nuts in the frame? ![]()

2. Propane torch, heat the bolts a little 3. If they are realy rusted badly, an impact might snap them off. Have lots of patience with the PB Blaster. Spray it on...wait a few days...spray again....wait a few days...spray again...wait a few days.
