DQ? #2 - does UL top fold inside jeep

or layup on top of the back, like an old VW bug.

took it down, first time today, and it looked like a sleeping bag wadded up back there.

watched the video, and folded it best i could. that's a 2 person job.

and it's not really fair, that you guys did NOT tell me it's really a 2 peeps job to go back up.

wife wanted to go out to eat (duh) and i wanted to just come home and eat.
so guess what, she comes in cooks (microwave...) and i have to do top by myself.

like herding cats.

if you guys had told me, i would have bought her some McD's, and then made her help me put the roof up.

so it's all your fault, and none of mine, because i watched the stupid video, no matter how much i wanted to doze off.

Are you refering to the soft top on the Unlimited? It does look like it's quite a bit more of a task than the standard TJ.

the trick to making it fold up neatly is to pull it down one bow at a time and shove all the material through the bow behind the backseat. if you do it carefully it should fit down most of the way. also i never have ppl help me put my top up. it takes me like 5 min to put it up or down and i take my time. with a little bit of practice u will get real good at it and u wont even want ppl to help u cuz its takes longer to explain the right way to do it than to just do it urself.

I got a regular TJ and it only takes me like 10 mins tops.. only because I don't want to scratch the windows.

Amen to that. Whenver someone helps me they either screw it up and I have to fix it or it takes longer to explain than to do.

I have an 04 UL, too, and every time I put the top down it looks different. Don't worry about it 04-RUL; just throw the top back and enjoy the ride.
