Door surrounds?

Hi Everyone,

I am getting rid of my hard top and putting the Bestop soft top on. I have full-steel doors and my question is: do I need to buy the door surrounds to keep water out of the jeep? Or will the new top sit flush with the edge of my full doors?

Thanks,
Jason

any soft top you need door surrounds, usually around $50 on craigslist

If you have the bestop supertop then u cannot run door surrounds. I have the supertop and it has it's own doorsurround type things.

Exactly.

OP, what type of Supertop are you going to run? That'll determine what you need.

Thanks. I have the supertop which apparently has it's own surrrounds as mentioned above. Just wanted to double check.

Running full doors without the surrounds could lead to door damage. The welds that hold the window frame seem to fail without the support.

Can I install the door surrounds though if the supertop already has it's own surrounds? Wouldn't the two parts conflict?

I have a supertop and it is not super... but it also doesn't require door surrounds. They are built into the supertop frame. Factory surrounds will not fit with a supertop on.
