Door Lock Fell Out!!!

so today as i got home from school i got outta the jeep and closed the door. I looked back and noticed that the whole cylinder for the lock had come almost completely out of the door. Has this ever happened to anyone? How do you fix this?

There's a push-on spring steel clip inside the door that goes on sideways to hold the lock in place. It sounds like that clip probably broke or somehow fell off. Removing the inner door panel gives complete access to it, look in the bottom of the door for the clip or its pieces.

hey thanks for the advice. I took the panel off and sure enough there was the clip at the bottom of the door. Luckily it wasnt broken. Just put it back in place and works great!
