dome lights wont turn off when doors are off?

When i take the doors and top off my jeep, the dome lights are always on. But i had bought these tweeser like things to go on the button where the door hits when it is shut so the lights go off. But my when i put them on each side, the right doors side doesnt work. With them both on, the dome lights will still stay on and its very annoying . Its the right side that causes this.

Thank you

Do the doors turn off the light when you close them?

If so, you need to push them on further..

no they do not when i have the doors on, i have to put it on like half way so that when the door meets it, it pushes it farther and makes it go off. but with the doors off, im not able to do that.

the fuse for the dome light doors is behind the glove box remove the strap the box drops down you can pull the fuse when you remove the doors. i got tired to doing that so i ran a rocker switch to the fuse so when i remove my doors i have the switch mounted unter the glove box just rock it no light when doors are off

disconnect the door switches. Its pretty easy to do if you dont want to spend anymore money. But, for a good look I'd put a switch in.
