Does my jeep have a lift on it?

My wife and I picked up this jeep a couple weeks ago as a toy and we have been wondering whether or not it has a lift on it. The lot that we purchased the jeep from had it listed as having a lift on it but im unsure if it does. I told the seller that I didnt think it was lifted and he swore up and down that it was. Personally i think that it is just the 32in tires that make it "look" lifted.
This is our first wrangler and we dont really have any jeep friends around to ask or compare. Basically i just dont want to purchase i lift kit if it already has one on it and me not knowing the height of whats on it.
thanks guys

Def lifted, prob a 2-3" lift. The shocks aren't stock but on a 97 that isn't a definite indicator.

You wouldn't have that much clearance without some sort of lift with 32's.

I say it has a lift. Pictures of the suspension would help.

Snap a picture of the front coils.. If there is a thick piece of plastic between the body and the spring then it has a spacer lift, about 2 inches. There will be a smaller one, I believe 7/8 of an inch that is there from the factory, which is not a lift.

Anywho, Welcome to the family!

It'd be nice to see a pic of the front suspension, but I'd agree with the 2-3" lift. Probably a 3". Looks like you have a little more clearance with the 32's than I do with a 2.5" lift and 265/75-16s (~31.6").

correct me if im wrong guys but its 19" from center of wheel to the flare... measure that, then subtract 19 from it and you'll get your lift height

Yes, it is lifted. Look at your control arm angles... 32"s would rub with out a lift.

I recommend you use the search function to read over the hundreds of threads that ask the same question.

Here is a good thread for you to start on.
http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/wh...ke-lift-46712/

There is lots of good information in the stickies that can help you as well. (Shows stock dimensions)

Or just crawl under there and look for part names, or aftermarket parts. Compare what you see to pictures of stock Jeeps from the forums.

New to Jeeps but not new to rides and the forums or the search function. The search button is the first place I go.

The first link that you posted is one that i have been to often, but the majority of the pics are no longer there, the second on only shows stock specs. My jeep is stripped, diff tires, armor and bumpers, so it makes it a little more difficult to tell. I have never seen the 3rd link. using it as a guide tells me i have a 2in lift since my fronts compressed are 14in and my rears are 10in
none of the hardware has any manufactures names on them so that isnt any help.
trust me guys, ive searched

Well are all of your control arms stock? From what I see it looks like they are.

You are most likely looking at 2-3" lift IMO. Your CA angle looks pretty similar to my 2.5" OME.

P.S. picks of FD?
