CB's are in common use by wheelers. If you mean do people still use them on the highway. Yes most pro drivers mostly still have a CB, but the constant chatter and the goofy lingo from the 70's are mostly gone. Pros mostly use the radio as a tool and not for emtertainment. No doubt due to the other in cab distractions available. cell phone, ipod, sat. radio. Last summer i drove from CO. to NC. and back. the CB was on the whole way. sometimes I would drive 3-4 hours without hearing a word. But when ever I keyed the mike to ask a qustion the anwsers came right back. Drivers are listening, there isn't much dialog.

Yea man. A LOT of wheelers use them. It's a very good way to communicate with each other while wheelng. Not to mention if you get in an emergency.

We use CBs on the trail and FRS Motorola Portables to communicate when traveling to the trails on the highway. The Motorolas work very well on the highway, good range, clearer even when we are spread out.

Christmas
I have not messed with one since the 70s as a kid. I'm looking forward to a nice new Uniden Pro520XL and Firestik being under the tree from my kids to me (even if I have to foot the bill)!

Yep, got to have one. I don't think I have ever been on a trail ride, where the majority of the crew didn't have one. Don't forget to pick a good handle, cb name, call sign, Goose, Maverick, Ice Man, Bandit.

I'm electroincally inept and I was able to find enough material (Ty, jeepforums) to setup mine and use it on my last club trail ride. VERY useful piece of electronIcs IMHO.
