You could always buy a bracket like this and then fab something up.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WILLYS-JEEP-FORD-MB-M38-GAS-JERRY-CAN-BRACKET-HOLDER-HU_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6755QQihZ014QQitemZ3 30254929397QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

I made something using that bracket for my LoD Tire Carrier, but only put it on for long trips, as its actually a lot of extra weight on the TC.

instead of the metal cans look at the military grade plastic ones more durable won't burst, I was leary at first but won't go back to metal, these things are TOUGH. Make sure they are made by Scepter

Shop around but I get mine here

This is good advice. I have several.
Get the smaller diameter Scepter spout that fits into the "unleaded" hole under the vehicle gas cap.
These cans will not leak and will float when full.
Don't use the diesel (yellow cap strap) for gasoline as the cap gasket is different. The gas (red cap strap) can be used for either fuel since it has a "viton" gasket.
Thanks.

P.S. The metal ones are "Blitz" brand.

I have 2 jerry cans (blitz/metal) but my rear tire carrier is made to hold them between the tailgate and the tire. I dont carry them all the time though. When i remove them you can slide the rear tire up closer to the tailgate. If you get the metal cans you will need to get the skinnier fill hose (donkey dik) because the standard/military size wont fit into the narrow opening on the jeeps gas filler neck. It takes forever to fill with the smaller line and that damn fuel can gets heavy

I have the Garvin Wilderness system.

It is not cheap! I shopped around and found a decent deal at http://discountjeepparts.com/ I purchased some other stuff at the same time and they gave me a break on the cost. I have been really happy with the system - real heavy duty. I like the fact that it can carry a 35" tire as well since I will be moving up to 35s this fall. Only down side is the cost and the weight - the system is HEAVY!

Too late. Scepter military cans are no longer sold on the civilian market. What few that are still around for sale are being scarfed up quick.

Be careful on off-camber trails with that setup. Mounting two full jerry cans and an ice chest up that high really raises the Jeep's center-of-gravity.

I also have the Wilderness system except I only have one fuel can, CO2 on the other side.

I also have full width axles to help with the off-camber situations.

How does everyone lock theirs? With gas prices and such I'm positive where I live some low life would jack mine for a 1/4 tank of gas.
