Pics!

Finally some pics to update with.

First is the new hood line I found some door protectors to clean up the cut with, it turned out looking pretty good.

Here's a couple of shots of the engine compartment. You can see the new temporary air cleaner I'm using until I get a K&N. The fuel evap unit is turned 180, and I'm still thinking about where to put the washer fluid bottle.

Flex pics for your enjoyment!

If I get some extended fender flares I could get a couple more inches of stuffage out of the front.

The back is just about perfect, but I may add to the bumpstops just in case.

Then there's a shot of what I cut out of the back. I also found some red rustolium paint that was almost an exact match to the original paint. In the picture the paint looks a little funny, but it looks fine in real life. Not like anyone is going to look into your wheel well, I just want it to stop the rust.

Put them flares under the knife and trim about an inch out of em. I used the blue 1" painters tape, and a steady hand with an exacto knife. Sanded the edges and voila! more clearance. My $.02, nice work btw

I drove it around all day yesterday and had zero problems. I was worried about the check engine light coming on. I had a little kid that couldn't take his eyes off the jeep. Gotta say it's always fun having a car that you dreamed about when you were little

The rear I raised about 3/4 of an inch lower than the front, mostly because it looked to high when I had it the same height. The front was lifted about 3 1/2 inches and the back a little more than 2 3/4. I can get you some more accurate measurements when I get home.
got some measurements for us? I'm interested in doing this to my jeep, using stock inner fenders and fab'ing or using a DIY tube fenders kit. I want highline tube fenders, like the Rokmen jeep

In the rear towards the windshield I cut off at 3 inches. The front tapered down to 2 1/2 inches. If I were to do it again I would just cut the line at 3 inches all the way across. This would solve a lot of the problems I had to deal with. It still turned out great in the end, but I do wish I would have seen it sooner.

Not yet. Since it's really only cosmetic, besides the need for rocker guards, I'm just going to wait until I can afford the rokmens. Strapped myself picking up a new sailcloth top, but it was worth it.

I couldn't help myself and went out and took some beauty shots today. I'm just so happy to have my Jeep back I'm thinking of all kinds of excuses to take it out.

Great!! Thanks alot.

Just what I needed...

Another excuse to cut on my Jeep. My wife will be thrilled!

I popped my cherry on flush mounting my tail lights.

There is nothing I like more than 20 doller mods that look great and have function as well!

tjaaron,

Do you have any pics next to another tj with 35's and more lift so I can see the difference. I am trying to visualize it, but its difficult for me. You did a great job on that Aussie Lift. I'm still on the fence as to if I want to take the blades to my TJ.

That thing looks spectacular. I just ordered some Genright fenders through Zach at A-Z am having them installed while I'm out here.............think when I get home I might get some measurements from you for the rear.

I don't know anyone with 35s, but if I see someone around town with it I will try to take some side by side pictures. As to cutting the Jeep, it helps if your fenders are already in a bad way which mine were. I had no where to go but up

Mine isn't next to his obviously. But it is with a 3" BDS and 1" BL and 35s. Hope it helps a little...
