I am very serious. I've been contemplating buying the AEV highline kit, but am having a hard time justifying the cost, especially when you figure in the prep work and paint. Also, I live in an apartment complex and can't work on my Jeep here. I'll PM you with my phone number.

It that's you're Jeep in your avatar then does it really matter if you cut the fenders...

Keep me updated. I'm going to highline my jeep eventually and would like to see measurements and a well documented write up.

so im finally thinking about doing this, I checked things out and have a few questions.

where did you end up putting the black box on the drivers side after you moved the fenders up,

what type of washer fluid bottle did you end up using ?

how did you make them fit up higher with the slanted part that follows the grille shape ? (the part where the fender/grill meet below the headlight, right behind the hella light)

Update

I was finally able to get back to the project. . . school, work, storms it seemed like I could never get back to it. But the weekend was sunny and my internet is back on so here's a teaser!

I think I'm about 90% done with it now. I was able to take it for a test drive yesterday, and boy am I happy with the outcome. I will try to get some pictures of the engine compartment up tomorrow, and maybe some flex pix

Sorry if I missed it... are you planning on boat-siding the tub?

The black box I turned 180 degrees and put where the washer fluid bottle was, I'll post pictures tomorrow. I still haven't sorted out the washer fluid bottle yet. The stock bottle might fit next to the brake cylinder, but it touches and I don't know if it will melt the bottle or not. For the bending I used the stock mounting location on the grill, drilled new holes in the fender, and used a long bolt with washers to bend it. There's a couple of pictures of the long bolts on the first page.

I saw a great boat side thread on pirate, it could be done very well. I have zero welding skills however, so as soon as I pull some money together I'll probably use the rokmens for now. How's your "real" highline treating you? I think we started our projects at about the same time. I'm jealous.

thanks, I finished mine up last night except for the bottom fender to body gap but for some reason I got a ticking coming from the leak detection pump, not sure if its a pinched or leaking line somewhere or what. It snowed all last night/this morning so ill probally check it out tomorrow. Have you figured out what your going to use for hood latches yet ? If not let me know I got creative with the stock latch and it worked out great and looks pretty decent still

Wow you finished fast. I guess I didn't put to many hours in, just spread them out over a long period. I just relocated the stock latches, it seems to work well, the hood didn't fly up on the freeway, so that's a good sign.

Let's see some pics of yours!

some pics, its not perfect but for less then $20 in supplies I can live with it

I still need to cut the rears and mess around with the front gap a little. Still not sure what im going to do with the bottom area yet. Been thinking about doing a piece of steel plate from the fender to where the body and rocker meet and tie it into my sliders
