Disco's Sway Bars and Track bars
I just got a lift. 3.5 RE and I got track bar. I am not sure if it is a front or a rear. The guy told me I would need one OR want on shortly so I went ahead and got it. I got the standard kit.
Here are my questions? Sway bars....what are they? I think I understand disco's....I have them right. I would have to go through a lot to unhook them right? If I got a set of JKS Quick discos I would have to pulla pin...right? Ok.....now lets talk Long arm? I know it adds a lot of hardware to the bottom of the Jeep......what do I get and why do I want it? I think before I do any of this stuff I will do a SYE and DS. Thanks for the help in advance.... Biff

Hopefully it is the front trackbar that you purchased as the kit will include a brakcet for the rear to correct for axle shift. I believe the RE3.5 standard kit simply comes with swaybar extender links and not the discos. JKS discos are very nice, I would highly recommend them and yes, you just pull a pin. Swaybars are located in the front and rear, they stabilize the body on the suspension to keep the body from rolling and eventually causing the whole jeep to roll. You wouldn't want your jeep flexing on the highway at 60mph the same way it flexes on the trail, that would be bad. A long arm kit is used to correct the suspension component angle and attempt to restore a ride quality. As the jeep goes higher the short arms will be at a more severe angle and the LA fixes that. If you have the cash get the SYE and DS, it will take care of the vibes and keep you from dropping the transfer case. You will need adjustable upper control arms for the rear in order to allign the pinion angle with the SYE
