Difference in fog light wiring make a difference?

Ok so im getting ready to wire up my fog lights and i cant remember or know if this makes any difference to wire it the way in this diagram or to have 2 power wires from the relay instead of the splice....

Like a power wire from 87 to a light and a power wire from 87a(which is not in this diagram) to a bulb

Is there a difference in power going to each bulb or is it nill????

simply put.... it would be a 'fail."

When the coil of an SPDT relay is at rest (not energized/OFF), the common terminal (30) and the normally closed terminal (87a) have continuity. When the coil is energized/ON, the common terminal (30) and the normally open terminal (87) have continuity.

so.....
if you hook it up like your talking about using the style relay you have, the wire/light the is hooked to 87a will be powered when the relay is 'off' and that one light will be on. when you 'turn on' the relay, that light will shut off and the other light hooked to 87 will turn on.

wire it like the diagram. eliminate the headache.

I've never been poor, only broke. Poor is a state of mind. Broke is a condition brought on by Jeep ownership and a heavy right foot.

Or, get the correct relay. SPST, the one with two 87s and no 87a.
