Did you guys weld your factory B-pillar sections together when doing an add-on cage?

So I've had this Synergy tj cage for a while, and am finally getting around to installing it. I have everything together, and just wondering if I should go ahead and weld the sections of the B pillar that are normally just bolted together? The cage can't come apart otherwise at this point, so I don't see why not.

A long time ago, that's what I did. And welded the rest of the cage to it.

Later models come from the factory welded, not full circle but enough you won't get them apart easily.

Ok, thanks everyone. My other issue is that Synergy/Poly sent me the wrong grab handles. Instead of sending the TJ specific ones for this cage, they sent the universal ones they sell, so now I have to cut and notch these. They discontinues the other ones, so no way to get em swapped out now.

I bought my cage in 2013 and the grab handles were universal as well. Come to think of it, when I was installing mine I thought I read somewhere that they only include universal fit grab handles with their cages.
