Death Wobble fix the easy way check it out.

Ok so I recently purchased a currie HD track bar set it up and still had DW. I read about drilling out the lower mount and installing a larger bolt.....Have yoiu every tryied to drill that thing hard no thanks. so I removed the lower part of the link and looked at it.hmmmmmm I noticed that it was a rolled bushing, si I hit it with a large punch a few times untill the new 7/16 bolt would fit snug then drilled the lower frame with a 7/16 bolt. Presto DW fixed, so If you have DW and a jks or currie track bar this might work for you! sorry no pics kinda forgot...

ya it was so easy and one of those light bulb moments. the 10mm bolt is kinda small in the lower track bar mount 7/16 is perfect.

Just for the sake of curiosity, why it is that I have 4 TJ's in my driveway that use a 10mm bolt on the front trackbar and none of them have DW?

One of them is even running new Kevlar MT/R's on beadlocks that are unbalanced?

I would think it would be undersized only if the hole for the bolt was ob longed. Maybe Jeep ran out of 7/16 the day they built yours and just threw in a 10mm?

Sounds like the bolt was loose at some point in time and wallowed out the hole.

I had a similar problem at one time. Stock bolt was loose in steel sleeve in tb bushing, and really loose in the axle mount holes. But hole was not oblong or oval. 7/16" bolt fit snug in the hole, so I drilled out the steel sleeve and installed the larger bolt, tapping it in with a hammer. Tightened it up and all was well.
