As with most 'expendibles' and routine maintenance, an oil change is definitely NOT a warranty item.
But, have you ASKED you dealer how much they charge yet? Or are you just assuming they will have an extortion-based price?
I bought my 2002 from one of the "Five-Star" rated Chrysler-Jeep dealers. They have been running a summer special which includes:
• Engine oil replacement up to 6 qt
• Complete chassis lube
• New Mopar oil filter
• Fluid level inspection
• Inspect front suspension components
for only $19.95!
If you dealer has a website, check it for special service deals too.
Plus, they mailed me a coupon for a free oil change a couple of weeks after I bought the Jeep. Make sure you are on your dealer's mailing list, as some of the better dealers will send out coupons on a regular basis to get you back in and hopefully hooked on using their service department.
