Dead Jeep! Electrical/Fuse Issue??

So I got in my jeep today, turned the key to acc and everything turned on, then tried to start the jeep and everything went dead. Turned the key back and forth and everything is off, dead, no power anywhere. Opened the hood, tapped on and jiggled the fuses and tried again. Turn to Acc, everything turns on, try to start, dead! Third time jiggling the fuses I got it to start.

Any guesses?

Are you referring to the acutal positve and negative connections on the battery? Any recommendations on what to use to clean the connections?

Thanks!

yes.you can use hot water from the tap mixed with some baking soda.
you must disconnect the terminals and clean the contact surfaces.
a small wire brush or some emery cloth will work .
when disconnecting the battery, remove the negative terminal first.
when reconnecting the battery, install the negative terminal last.
make sure everything is turned off before connecting or disconnecting the battery.
