DANA 35 or SPICER 35

hey guys,

i was talking to the scrap yard today trying to locate a dana 44 for my jeep and the fellow said that my jeep never came with a dana axle.

he said it has a spicer 35 and he only has a spicer 44 in his scrap pile.

i haven't heard of spicer yet(i am new). is this the canadian version of the dana axle?

**SIDE NOTE** i found out the other day that my company makes dana axle tubes for the factories, pretty kewl stuff.

spicer is a division of dana, the axles are exactly the same.

excellent. that's what i was thinking....so is it safe to say that i can swap any dana parts into my spicer axles so long as they are either 35 and 35 or 44 and 44?
