D44 Gear Problems, shaft problems.

so i let a friend take my jeep to moab on easter weekend....

I ended up with some broken parts, The Ring gear in the rear is missing 10 teeth, and the drivers side axle shaft is twisted.

I've been looking for recommendations for upgrades/replacements, but im still not sure what i should get / where the best/cheapest place is to get the parts.

Can you guys make some recommendations? I would appreciate it very much!

Also of note i have a Detroit Locker in the D44.

Pics up in just a minute.

Alloy shafts, new gears by the sound of it. I use David at Northridge, ( http://www.northridge4x4.com ) nothing but good things to say about him.

Superior Axle makes good OE-strength replacement axleshafts, I think it's only $115 or so for a single shaft if you don't plan on upgrading to alloy shafts. You'll need new bearings (Timken SET-10), bearing retainer, and a seal too. A set of alloy axleshafts like from Alloy USA (my choice) or Superior Axle would be a nice upgrade.

Ring gears only gets replaced with a new matching ring & PINION gear, never by themselves. Installed, that's going to cost somewhere close to $500.
