D44 Front Questions
So, I'm looking at a D44 from a Rubi and was thinking. The axle does not come with knuckles, the seller states that I need to use my D30 knuckles and brakes. That got me thinking... could I use F150 knuckles and brakes to give me the 5x5.5" bolt center then be able to use Warn hubs? Are the Rubi axles the same at the ball joints as other 44's thus allowing for the F150 hubs? Do I need to change the short shafts when I do that, or will the stock Rubi shafts work with the F150 knuckles and hubs? Any other issues that I'm missing?
Thanks

Get a D30 HP housing if you go with 30 spline shafts, just as strong and gets your DS about 3" higher.

Warn does make the kit to convert the front to 5x5.5 hubs but they cost nearly as much as building a real front axle to begin with.

Ok then, sounds like it is a pain to try and make it work. Thanks for the insite.
