D30 Gear Questions

I am regearing my axles (D30/D35) from 3.07's to 4.10's.

A buddy of mine gave me his old axles out of his YJ and I can use everything out of the D35 in the rear, correct? (4.10 gears with a true-trac).

The front is a different story from what I am reading though, as the front D30 is a high pinion on YJ's and a low pinion on the TJ. This means I cannot use the gears out of it, correct?

Next question is, Can I at least use the Carrier out of the YJ axle, or do I need to purchase a new carrier for my new gears as well?

Thanks for the help guys.

Yes you can use the Dana 35c gears but not his Dana 30 gears for the reason you stated. The carrier is the same. What size tires and transmission do you have?

I have 31's with 3.07's, Going to 33's and 4.10's. This is going to be with the 3 speed auto. Lots of research on this, and found this is the best combo for my tire size/tranny.

Thanks for the help, Jerry.

33's and 4.10 with the 3-speed automatic is an ideal combination, good choice.
