Cutting fender flares

I have a 05 tj rocky Mtn. edition. I want to cut the fenders. Trying to make them flat cutting the part that slopes down. I know you can do it on the jk. Has anyone done this do you have any suggestions. Any help would be great.

I haven't but it sure seems to me like a dremel and a good eye would get the job done.

A dremel will work but it also makes a mess and it's not as simple as a boxcutter. I marked where I wanted to cut, scored it with the box cutter, bent it and it peeled right off.
