Custom TJ Dash Cluster Ideas needed
Im performing a 5.3L 4L60e swap starting end of January and Ive done the research showing the stock cluster gauges will not work. I can make a few work (ie: fuel, battery)
But to make the Speedo, Tach, Temp..etc...work I will need to do too much PITA wiring redo's... So what I plan on doing is completely ripping out the existing dash pod w/ the current gauges and replacing with all autometer. Im looking for pics or ideas of how to set them up. Im thinking a nice shaped piece of aluminum bent to similar shape of the original pod but w/ cutouts for the gauges. Any Ideas??? ![]() ![]()

I really like it when the gauges are arranged just like stock, complete with LED indicators for the idiot light functions.
Personally if I was going to do it I'd do it like this but with black faced gauges with silver rings around them: ![]() I wanted to do it for the fun of it but I have other priorities ![]() |

great picture....thats pretty much what i was looking for...Anybody else have any other pictures or ideas.??
I wish I could keep the stock dash gauges...I kind of like how they are stock, but unfortunately, new drivetrain wont allow me to keep stock dash... |

Here's what I did in mine. Mine are the Auto Meter Quad gauges, part #1309 I believe. Here's a link to my build that I just finished. Took 2 road trips this weekend with no problems. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! http://www.getconnect.biz/2001_Jeep_TJ.html
