I'm wanting to build my own... especially to mount my CB to. if anyone has any ideas on how to do it and what materials to use, or if you have pics please post 'em. thanks

i made one very similar to this out of MDF, then covered it with automotive carpet (speaker box type). i attached it to the roll bars with fence clamps. for the front, i drilled out my footman loop and used some thin scrap metal (i don't know the gauge, but it's slightly thicker than a license plate) to screw to the holes where the footman loop was. then that piece was screwed to the console/rack. i've got my CB on there as well as my flashlight mount and some other misc. items. sorry, i don't have pictures of it just yet.

I like the looks of that... it looks simple and clean and it would work great. whenever you get some pics please post. I'm not installing anything til spring because I can't stand this cold. (no garage either, which sucks a**)
