Custom Gauge Cluster

Hey guys,

Have any of you seen or done a custom gauge cluster using either older Jeep gauges or using new aftermarket gauges, i've been looking to give the interior a different look. btw i have an '03 SE.

Thanks

Supe

I'm looking for a link...but I can't find it...(or at least not for free)...

here's a link to where it would cost $14.95:

http://www.importmodifications.com/exteriormods.html

look about halfway down...there's a custom guage write-up...

you basically pull your guages out, scan the face, photoshop in ANY picture/design you want, and install it...the example is a sunset, and if the right picture is chosen, I think it would be a neat look...

I'll let you know if I find it...

Yup, heres my custom dash

Pretty easy project, took my about 3 or 4 days with a few hours worktime on each day. I just need to find something to cover up that dreaded connection block that Jeep puts on the driver's fenderwell

Replacing the gauge cluster would pretty much be the same procedure, but you'd just need to make a panel that fits in the stock location cluster, instead of replacing the whole thing. Either way the same ammount of work is involved I'd think.

Just wondering......but what do the lights up above the wheel do?

The dash folds down and a spring loaded inflatable boxing glove comes out

probably not what you're looking for, but I did find the "free" version...

http://www.rangerpowersports.com/tech/interior/customgauge.shtml

choose the right pic, and end up with something "similar" to this:

This is from Stu-Offroad.com...simple white gauges...

This and other great write-ups can be found here:

http://www.stu-offroad.com

I remember seeing another member doing an entire vintage looking gauge custer replacement...but I can't seem to find the URL....

It was done by another AZVJC member (like stu and myself) - http://www.flatfendertj.com/Instrument_Panel.htm . Us Arizonians know our dashes

Personally, I love the dash guages exactly how it is... simple, black, no glare, and easy to read, and at the same time easy to ignore

Hell my speedo isn't accurate anyway
