Great fab skills man, kudos to ya!

The front is a bit similar to the Fab Fours design...which I love too, so its all good. Add a stinger and I beleive it would be one of the coolest bumpers out there.

I agree on more support for the tire carrier, I have build a couple only to take them off because I could not stand the noise. I used plain old fabrication and no software so I might be wrong.

Excellent choice, my friend. Aaron will do it right for you.

What about this design, think it will pass the tests?

Still think it would be stronger with a horizontal brace.

Also - no vertical supports on your basket's top bar?

i agree. you need a horizontal swing arm, and i'd say it should be 2x2 or 2x3, at least 3/16th wall, maybe 1/4 wall if you want super beef. the cooler rack can be 1/8th wall 1x1 if you gusset it right, just look at similar designs from Olympic and other mainstream companies. the triangular design is better, but keep in mind a single vertical bar with the weight of a cooler or something torquing on it will eventually fatigue and break those welds. More gussets, more supports.

I personally like mounting the gas cans lower - you gotta figure the majority of the weight is in the spare itself and the fuel. Why mount these things higher than you have to? You can make a receiver skid if you're worried about departure angle, but at least everything has a lower center of gravity.

this is pretty basic but here you go:

Swingouts are tuff because of the weight of the tires and other things that we put on them. I have done a couple of them and you really have to secure them or they will "bounce" driving down the road and going over trails.

Here is a picture of my latest one. It has a center post and two angled supports. I buy the pin bearring assembly to make it stronger and I have found square tubing works better then round tubing.

I will work on posting some better pics of just the swing out in a week or two.

Looks good, I agree with some of the other comments. The cooler carrier needs to be supported to the bottom of the swing out.

Maybe an angled tube (what ever you choose) to the bottom of the swingout carrier!!!

so sweet though ~ looks really good dude!!
