Currie Adjustable Control Arms Question

I have Currie adjustable upper control arms on the rear of my TJ. How much of the threads can be visible behind the jam nut before I have to worry about them failing? I don't want to adjust them out so much that they become weakened or anything.

I've heard the general rule of 1.5x the shank diameter worth of exposed threads.

I was thinking I was safe with no more than 1" to 1.5" of threads showing. I will measure the shaft diameter to verify in the morning, but I think they are 3/4". So I think I should be safe up to 1.5".

I've been running mine for about 6 months. They were a good purchase, I like them a lot.
