Crown Vic and XJ Coil Lift

Ordered all the parts for it tonight, along with a Rusty's 60,000lb power strap and a B and M trans cooler.

Front - XJ Up Country springs and 2 inch spacers - approx. 3 - 4 inches of lift
Rear - 2000 crown Victoria springs - approx 3 - 4 inches of lift
4 Rusty's 4 inch lift shocks

Front trac bar is going to be re drilled and a rear trac bar bracket it going to be fabed by a friend.

Probably going to use some hockey pucks for bump stops and make a T case drop.

I am running 32 TSLs now on stock shocks and 2.25 spacers. It rubs quite a bit now, not to mention I am sure it would be worse with longer shocks.

I will worry about sway bars later, probably quick discos in the future. I am not running a front sway bar as of right now.

I'm sure there will be pictures to come in the future.

How much is the whole lift going to end up costing you?

So far

2 new Crown Victoria Coils - $62.00 - Advanced Auto Parts
2 XJ Up Country Coils - $20.00 from a friend
4 Rusty's Shocks - $120.00 - Rusty's off road

2.25 coil spring spacers - already had them

I still have to get some washers, longer bolts, and some hockey pucks.
Shipping was 40 bucks from Rusty's for the shocks and a Rusty's power strap.

I don't know if my friend is going to charge me for the rear trac bar bracket or not.

So those give you 4 inches of lift? Is this possible to do with other kinds of springs so you could do like 2 inches?

I know you can use the TJ fronts in the rear for about 3-4, nothing that I know of gives you around 2.

i dont see how springs off a car would be able to compensate for the extra weight of the TJ over the weight of a car.

I never would have thought it would work either, but there are a few people on this forum and others that have done it and said it has worked perfectly.

I was gonna say that you could probably get TJ lift springs for not much more money, but then I tried to search real quick, and realized you definately saved a bundle! I hope it all works out as planned for you. Make sure to take before and after pics and post them for the record! Good thinking!

So you just put the Crown Victoria springs in the front and move the TJ front springs to the rear and you get three inches of lift? Sounds like a good deal. Of course, you have to get new shocks, too, right?

the rear of a wrangler is CONSIDERABLY lighter than the rear of a crown vic ....

if anything, its gonna be a rough ride in the back seat

I got crown vic springs for the rear, you could use tj front springs in the rear, but the crown vic springs resemble a tj rear spring very closely. I have heard of v8 zj coils for the front.
