Crazy enough?

OK Here is my "idea"...
I would love to have a Lj instead of my Tj but Ljs were never imported to my country.
It's not the LWB itself,it's the extra storage behind the rear seat.
I thought of taking off the rear door and fabricate a rear extension of the
tub(kind of a scrambler look)made of fiberglass and look identical to the
original one.
Maybe long enohgh to use an Lj soft top.
Does anyone now how much longer is Lj's tub compairing to my Tj's

P.S.No I don't like racks any more

10" longer, but how do you plan to support this fiberglass the LJ has a longer frame too. Fiberglass on it's own will not be strong enough, you will have to extend the frame, and probably the wheelbase. This is going to be very difficult, and may not even work when finished. Why not just build a trailer to tow behind, like many of us do. Put larger tires on it just like the jeep, with a pintle hitch and it will go anywhere you do, then when you don't need the space disconnect it. Another option is sell you TJ and buy a 4dr JK. Or you can get a rack the attaches to the tow hitch.

Thank you for the respond!
Here is my trailer under constraction
http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f37/e...-my-tj-723762/
but roads here are tight and it's so frustrating for daily use...
I have two kids and came up with this solution
http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f37/trunk-seat-1014915/
which works,but still....
Here is my hitch rack for light things(up to 60-70 lbs)
http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f46/j...cling-1048232/
I love thinking out of the box no matter how it sounds.
If it is only 10" sounds great .it won't be heavy and might still be street legal.Extending the frame is a no-no here.
I might couple it on my hitch or something like that....
It is spinning in my mind....
I could make it even longer ,but then i would also have to fabricate
a custom top...

P.S. A 4dr JK is ideal but extremely expensive here(CRD 46K$)
Scramlers are veeeeeeeeeeeeeeery rare.
The only LWB really Jeep looking i can find is an M-170...

I'd forget about extending the tub then. Fiberglass probably wouldn't be the best material anyway.

How about you quit worrying about extending your tub & post up some pics of the ladies on your side of the pond?!

I did some research...It's 10" difference in the WB.
But in order to fit an LJ top on my TJ i should strech(extend) the tub 15"
That's all behind the rear seat.15" extra storage room(MMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!)
