Crankshaft pos sensor

Hello , a quick question for those who know. Can i use a cps from a 1998 tj on a 2002.Its a 2.5 on both models.I am asking this question because i have the part from a 98 and want to test before buying a 99$ sensor.
I get the code P320 .
Thank you.

Go to Autozone or Advanced Auto website, look up part for both vehicles, part number match?

Its a manual 2.5l ,2002.The other sensor looks the same, its just the numbers on it are different.I check on sites it says 199.. to 2001.I am just wondering if i can test if this is my problem or if i should look elswhere.Might be the fuel pump/filter.
