Cragar Chrome Soft 8’s in the winter
Cragar Chrome Soft 8’s in the winter
If you know or have the Chrome Soft 8’s how do they hold up in the winter with salt and snow. I know these are pretty cheap rims but I would hate for them to completely rust out over a winter or two. What are your thoughts and comments.
Thanks
Jsaon

I was told by a detailer I know that putting a thin coat of vaseline on the chrome will protect it from the salt in the winter. I haven't tried it myself though since I have no chrome.

I would guess so but like I said I never tried it. You'd have to clean them every now and then. But it would seal the chrome from the elements.

Great ideas.... I really like the price of these rims, and the looks for that matter but I would like them to last a while.
Thanks
