I almost replaced mine a year ago because so many were failing, then I saw I had the new design and thought I did not have to worry.. Wrong!! Mine cracked in several diff places with in a two week period!! it cracked were the pipes join into one (Almost all the way around) it also cracked in two places up near the flange. Its like the metal just gave up all at once....

the few I have seen cracked in those places as well.It is amazing that this problem has never been solved at the factory after so many years

I was reading the warranty book last night and depending on your state it is covered for i think 80,000 miles, check your warranty book.
