Compressor Mounting

I just got a Viair 280c and I am looking for ideas of where others have mounted theirs. I am leaning towards laying it sideways under the driver seat. Pics would be great. I hope everyone had a great Christmas !

In the engine compartment

under the brake booster, there is a plate that is not used for anything (at least on my 97) it is protected from most damage.

I have cruise, and I mounted my compressor on that plate under the brake booster without a problem. The cruise vacuum motor is mounted higher and more forward on the wheel well.

I believe the abs equipment gets mounted there under the brake booster.

I would mount it under the seat.

In his case maybe, as it looks like he may have had the D35 before swapping in the 8.8... but not all TJs have ABS.

I know all don't (i should of typed that more clearly, now that I read back over it). Mine doesnt. Just those that have abs I'm pretty sure that is where it is. Just clearing it up that it isn't the cruise control equipment.

I wish I had a better picture... just found this on google.

The vacuum motor for the cruise control is the little black/silver can with the cable coming from it sitting just behind the washer bottle, on top of the wheel well.

The ABS tray is just below the master cylinder.

Hope this helps!
