Clutch Rattle , 5 Speed Guys.

I have an 2002 tj 5 speed, when I turn the jeep off in neutral something is rattling in the transmission area . But when I turn it off with the clutch in no rattle

any ideas what's rattling and how to fix it?

The only thing that comes to mind between the two situations is that the throwout bearing is under pressure in the latter situation and cant move on the fork.

My 03 does the same thing. It rattles while in neutral with the clutch out and with the clutch in it sounds fine. To me it's normal but it does make jeep sound like a tractor.

I would agree with all the posts above as I experience the same thing with my nv3550.

Anybody can take advice if it doesn't interfere with their plan.
