Yes same as the 2.5 i just did it on my 5.9 while installing my 52MM throttle body. I gota say it does idle much smoother now.

I bought a new gasket for the throttle body but what about the IAC does it take a gasket ? I have a tube of 100% pure silicon it is a multi purpose tube, is this ok to use if no gasket is required for the IAC.

I don't believe it requires one. I don't think mine had one, nor did I put anything on it when I cleaned mine or when I replaced my TB. Anyone else shine some light on this that may be a little more "exact" than just an "I don't think so?"

Ok I have all the connectors off the sensors and the bolts out of the throtttle body. How do the throttle cables come off, I dont want to damage them getting them off.

Ok how does the IAC body come off the throttle body housing. Those screws are nothing like I have ever seen. I got the valve out and cleaned it already but the housing has some odd screws holding it on. If I cant get it off I will just spray it to death on the throttle body.

If I'm not mistaken, they are a t-20 safety bit. You can buy a set if those at autozone for about $10.

There is supposed to be a gasket between the throttle body and the upper intake. Its nothing more then a seal so air does not escape/come in and through off your air fuel mix. You can use silicon which is what I did, but there should be some sort of seal there. good luck
