check engine light with message "No Bus"??

Started up my Jeep this morning and shortly after I started it the check engine light comes on along with the airbag light. Then the odomoter display reads "No Bus". I shut the jeep off and started it back up and its fine. The light never came back on. What is going on? Anyone know what this is? I tried to check for error codes but none came up. It also did this a couple weeks ago on my way to work as well. It doesn't seem to affect anything, the jeep still runs and drives great. I just thought someone on here might know something about this. Thanks for any help.

That means there is not an H2 anywhere in site so you don't have to worry about them trying to follow you offroad and then worry about having to pull them out.

I'm sorry couldn't resist.

You can't check error codes on a 99. It is one of the few years of Jeeps that doesn't have the on board reader. Go out and get yourself on of those cheap Harbour freight readers for about $38. That's what I did and it works great
