Check Eng light on after Cold airitnake install

Installed a Brute Force 2 cold air intake, put temp sensor in new intake hose and my check engine light is still on. Any suggestions? New to all this by the way, thanks for your help and patience.

Damon

Was the light on before the install? Whats the code?

Id bet the 'puter is confused with the excessive amount of air the engine is getting.

Try disconnecting the battery for 15 min...I believe the computer will then reset itself and make up for the additional airflow.

The light came on after the install. Again, I'm new at all this, so I originally didn't hook the sensor back up. When I did realize I should hook up the sensor, the light remained on. It has been suggested to disconnect the battery for 15 minutes and the puter should reset. I appreciate the quick reply and suggestions.

Thanks, Damon

Get the code of the Check Engine Light first and see if it really does have something to do with the CAI. Maybe while you were installing it you accidentally un-plugged something else.
