man, i thought this thread was dead.

flatline cowboy: you went all out! looks good. did you cut holes in the rear bumper to mount the lights. its kinda hard to tell from the pics?

johncub: that sucks. i hope i wont have that problem. i think the fuse or switch will go before the fuse box.

yeah, I cut 4 rectangular holes out in the rear bumper. I forget the exact measurements.. but it took about an hour to do all 4 with a 4" angle grinder and a flat file.

I just got the idea a few weeks ago before I fell asleep....

the outter pair come on with the transmission in reverse ( I removed the stock bulbs) and it works great.

the inner pair are on a toggle switch as are the 4 in the front.

I am working on mounting the oem fogs under the jeep for rock lights.

thanks for checkin them out!

how was the wiring to get them to come on with reverse?

actually very simple

just find your wiring harness for the tail lights ( mine was on the drivers side, above the rear wheel well. ) tap into the purple/black wire and run it to your relay. then just feed a power wire in from the battery to the relay, ground it and run a wire to the lights.

I had to run a few more wires as I have 2 circuits back there ( one relay per pair )

all in all I believe I spent $125 on parts/lights and some more $$ for the KC light mounts ( should have made them too )

but I love knowing I pieced it all together and it works great...

BUILT NOT BOUGHT

I will post more pics up soon!
