Center Console lock replace/Rebuild?

My center lock is in disrepair. The part that holds the latch is cracked, but the actual pins and tumbler are fully functional. is there anyway I can rebuild it so that I can still use my Ignition key, but fix the lock?

Any other options besides going tuffy?

I did the write up in post 8 of the linked thread to help out some in the past. If it's what I've called housing/latch you'd need to buy a new assembly from Jeep. You swap your lock cylinder into the new housing. The thread shows how to take out the cylinder without breaking it.

4741954 should be the part number for what I've called housing/latch and the retainer. The retainer was a different length on the one I bought so I just used the original one. I broke my lock cylinder and then worked out how to remove it, hence having to buy another cylinder too and doing the write up to save other people making the same mistake.
